We are excited to announce that two new providers, Dr. Erica Faircloth and Dr. Spencer Barney have recently joined Cottonwood Ob/Gyn.

Dr. Faircloth grew up in Murray and attended the University of Utah for her Undergraduate degree in Biology. She went to medical school at Medical College Of Wisconsin and her OBGYN Residency was at PIROG in Arizona.
Dr. Faircloth married her high school sweetheart, who has supported her throughout her whole career. She does an amazing job of balancing work and family, and when not at work she loves spending time with her husband and three children. She enjoys gardening, yoga, and bargain hunting.
Dr. Faircloth works very closely with her MA, Anna, and RN, Megan, and is thrilled the dream team has moved with her to Cottonwood Ob/Gyn!
Dr. Barney grew up across Utah, from Ogden to Cedar City. After serving an LDS mission to Ecuador, he completed his undergraduate degree at BYU and medical school at the University of Utah. He completed his residency training in OB/Gyn at the University of New Mexico.
Dr. Barney loves practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology because it allows him to care for patients experiencing a variety of medical needs, from pregnancy and childbirth to medical and surgical management of gynecologic conditions. He enjoys learning new ways to help his patients and is versed in techniques including minimally invasive surgery, operating with the Da Vinci Robot system, and more recently performing Acessa procedures to treat uterine fibroids (he was the second physician in the state and the first physician in the Salt Lake Valley to perform this newer procedure.)
He has an amazing wife and five wonderful children (as well as a recent addition of a new daughter-in-law!) and enjoys spending time with them. Outside of work he also enjoys hiking, backpacking, wood carving, and highly non-competitive pickleball.
After practicing elsewhere in Salt Lake for the past 13 years, Dr. Barney is looking forward to joining Cottonwood OB/GYN and is excited to take care of both his established and new patients.
